Lasten auf der Himmelsleiter
Loads on the ladder to heaven
Auf fast 3000 Metern Höhe, in der Bergsta-
tion der neuen „Seilbahn Zugspitze“ instal-
liert Kone derzeit den höchst gelegenen
AufzugDeutschlands. In einemJahr wird er
den Betrieb aufnehmen. Ein zweiter Aufzug
wird in der ebenfalls neuen, 1945 m tiefer
gelegenen Talstation montiert.
Die Herausforderung liegt in der Anlie-
ferung der Teile und der Montage der
Aufzuganlage: Da auf der Bergspitze
Lagerfläche fehlt, muss alles punktgenau
angeliefert und verbaut werden. Eine
Materialseilbahn sorgt für den Transport
der Teile in der Bauphase. Dazu kommen
die schwierigen klimatischen Bedingun-
gen: starke Winde, Schnee und Kälte. Im
Jahresmittel liegt die Temperatur auf der
Zugspitze bei -4 Grad Celsius. Im Winter
sinken die Werte schnell unter -20 Grad.
Zum Ausgleich dieser Temperaturen wird
der Einbau einer Heizung im Schachtkopf
erforderlich.

eration in one year.
A second lift will be
installed in the likewise
new 1945 m lower val-
ley station.
The challenge is the deliv-
ery of the parts and instal-
lation of the lift: since there
is a lack of storage space on
the mountain top, every-
thing has to be delivered
and installed with pinpoint
timing. A material cableway ensures the trans-
port of components in the construction phase.
On top of this, there are the difficult climatic
conditions: strong winds, snow and cold. The
annual average temperature at the Zugspitze is
-4° C. In winter this quickly drops under -20° C.
To compensate for these temperatures, installa-
tion of a heater in the shaft head was necessary.
The two Kone lifts in the valley and mountain
stations with their 1,600 kg nominal load pri-
marily serve the supply of the different, also
gastronomic, facilities on the Zugspitze.They are
only to be used exceptionally by the passengers
of the Bavarian Zugspitze cableway.
The lift project is an international project. Kone
Austria has been cooperating for a lengthy
period with general planners and the imple-
menting engineering firm from the federal state
Salzburg and preparing the project.The lifts were
then planned in detail in cooperation with Kone
Germany, with their installation being handled by
the German Kone organisation. This is because
the lifts are being produced on the German side
of the Zugspitze on behalf of the Bayerische
Zugspitzbahn AG.
Die beiden KoneAufzüge inTal- und Berg-
station dienen mit ihren 1.600 kg Nennlast
vorrangig der Versorgung der verschiede-
nen, auch gastronomischen Einrichtungen
auf der Zugspitze.Von den Besuchern der
Bayerischen Zugspitzbahn sollen sie nur
ausnahmsweise genutzt werden.
Das Aufzugprojekt ist ein länderübergrei-
fendesVorhaben: Kone Österreich arbeitet
seit längeremmit den Generalplanern und
dem ausführenden Ingenieurbüro aus dem
Bundesland Salzburg zusammen und be-
reitete daher das Projekt vor. Gemeinsam
mit Kone Deutschland wurden dieAnlagen
anschließend im Detail geplant, deren In-
stallation die deutsche Kone Organisation
übernimmt. Denn die Aufzüge entstehen
auf der deutschen Seite der Zugspitze im
Auftrag der Bayerischen Zugspitzbahn
Bergbahn AG.
Auf der Zugspitze entsteht der höchst gelegene Aufzug Deutschlands.
