50 years R+T trade fair in Stuttgart – 80 years ITRS

Einige Leser werden er-

staunt fragen, wieso 80 Jah-

re ITRS? Den gibt es doch

erst seit 2009. Das ist richtig,

denn in dem Jahr beschlossen

die Hersteller von Rollläden,

Raffstoren und Automation,

sich zu organisieren. Nur wo?

Angefragt wurde schließlich

beim Bundesverband Kon-

fektion Technischer Textilien

– BKTex –.

Dieser vertrat zu diesemZeit-

punkt seit fast 40 Jahren er-

folgreich die Branche des

außenliegenden

Sonnen-

schutzes mit allen namhaf-

ten Produzenten.Auch war er

2005 eines der Gründungs-

mitglieder des europäischen

Dachverbands European So-

lar-Shading Organization –

ES-SO –. Der Spiegelaus-

schuss zu ES-SO wurde 2005

als Fachgruppe AES ebenfalls

in den BKTex integriert.

Wichtig für die Hersteller der

Rollläden-, Raffstoren- und

Automationsbereiche war ein

weiterer Aspekt: Unser Ver-

band nimmt bereits seit 2000

an der R+T teil. Als fachli-

cher Träger sind wir Mitglied

imMesse-Beirat der R+T und

vertreten engagiert die Inter-

essen unserer Mitglieder. Au-

ßerdem bringen wir uns mit

weiteren Aktivitäten ein.

Nach den Erfolgen der ver-

gangenen Jahre bietet der eu-

ropäische Dachverband ES-

SO mit seinem Präsidenten

Peter Winters auch in diesem

Jahr ein Seminar auf der R+T

in Stuttgart an: Der ES-SO

Workshop findet am 26.02.15

von 10-12.30 h sowie von 14-

17 h im ICS, Raum 4C, statt.

Die Geschichte des ITRS

1935 vereinigten sich Unter-

nehmen aus der Sack- und

Juteindustrie als Fachun-

tergruppe Sack- und Plan-

herstellung der Fachgrup-

pe Reichsbastfaser-Industrie.

1950 gründeten sie den Ver-

band Deutscher Sack- und

Segeltuchwarenfabriken e. V.

mit Sitz in Düsseldorf. Nach

nochmaliger Umbenennung

in 1966 als Bundesverband

Kunststoff- und Schwerge-

webeindustrie e.V. wurde da-

raus 1997 der Bundesverband

Konfektion Technischer Texti-

lien e.V., in 2009 der heutige

ITRS e.V.

Zurzeit sind ca. 180 Unter-

nehmen in sieben Fachgrup-

pen organisiert: Bautech-

nik mit Textiler Architektur,

Digitale Druck- und Textile

Werbetechnik, IV RSA – In-

dustrievereinigungRollladen-

Sonnenschutz-Automation,

Säcke und Juteerzeugnisse,

Sonnenschutz Innenliegend,

Textile Flächen sowie Trans-

port- und Schutztechnik.

Weiterhin gehören zu uns

Hersteller von Fasern, Gar-

nen, Zubehör, Gerüsten, Ge-

stellen, Schweißmaschinen,

Farben, Lacken, Folien sowie

Unternehmen aus den Be-

reichen Webereien und Be-

schichtungen.

Verschiedene Arbeitskreise

befassen sich zusätzlich u. a.

mit aktuellen Themen wie

Einsprüche zu Normungsvor-

haben, Umsetzung von Nor-

men, Erarbeiten von Richt-

linien und Empfehlungen,

Marktdaten.

Ausgegliedert wurden in 1997

die Bereiche der Aus- und

Weiterbildung in den Förder-

verein KTex e.V. Das Berufs-

bild des Verbandes stammt

aus der Technischen Konfek-

tion. Ursprünglich als Lehr-

beruf Zeltmacher entwi-

ckelt, 1981 in Kunststoff- und

Schwergewebekonfektio-

när umbenannt, ist der heu-

tige Technische Konfektio-

när ein staatlich anerkannter

Ausbildungsberuf mit drei-

jähriger Lehrzeit. Die Fortbil-

dung zum Industriemeister

Textilwirtschaft, Fachrichtung

Technische Konfektion, ist

möglich.

Der Förderverein veranstaltet

in unregelmäßigen Abstän-

den Weiterbildungen für an-

und ungelernte Kräfte in den

Mitgliedsunternehmen. So-

mit ist eine fachspezifische

Unterweisung gewährleistet.

Wie sieht die Zukunft des

ITRS aus? Wir finden, sehr

gut! Engagierten Mitglie-

dern verdanken wir, dass bis-

her kein Ehrenamt unbesetzt

blieb.

Und wenn wir im ITRS vom

„Ehrenamt“ reden, dann ist

es wörtlich zu nehmen: Alle

Engagierte in den Gremi-

en erbringen ihre Aktivitäten

auf eigene bzw. Firmenkos-

ten. Nur so sind u. a. die mo-

deraten Mitgliedsbeiträge zu

halten.

Kontinuität herrscht auch

im Hauptamt: Seit 19 Jahren

bringen sich Geschäftsführe-

rin Gertrud Müller und As-

sistent Daniel Klein für den

Verband ein und werden seit

dem Herbst 2014 von Sascha

Eickels dabei unterstützt.

At this time the latter had been

successfully representing the

industry for external sun pro-

duction with all well-known

producers for almost 40 years.

In 2005 it was also one of the

founding members of the Eu-

ropean umbrella association

European Solar-Shading Or-

ganization – ES-SO. The mirror

committee to ES-SO was like-

wise integrated in 2005 as the

trade group AES in BKTex.

Another aspect was important

to the manufacturers of the

roller shutter, external Vene-

tian blind and automation sec-

tors: our association had al-

ready been participating in the

R+T since 2000. As trade spon-

sor we were a member of the

trade fair advisory committee

of the R+T and represented the

interests of our members with

devotion. Moreover, we con-

tributed with other activities.

Following the successes of the

past years, the European um-

brella association ES-SO will

also be offering a seminar this

year at the R+T in Stuttgart

with its President Peter Win-

ters: the ES-SO workshop will

take place on 26.02.15 from 10

– 12.30 and from 2.00 – 5.00

p.m. in ICS, Room 4C.

The history of the ITRS

In 1935 companies from the

sack and jute industry united

as the trade sub-group sack

and cover manufacturing of

the national bast fibre indus-

try. In 1950 they set up the As-

sociation German Sack and

Canvas Goods Plants, based

in Dusseldorf. After being re-

named once again in 1966 as

the Federal Association Plastic

and Heavy Fabric Industry, the

organisation then became the

Federal Association Technical

Textile Manufacture in 1997, in

2009 the current ITRS.

Currently about 180 compa-

nies are organised in seven

specialist groups: building

technology with textile archi-

tecture, digital printing and

textile advertising technol-

ogy, IV RSA industrial associa-

tion roller shutter-sun protec-

tion automation, bags and jute

products, interior sun protec-

tion, textile surfaces and trans-

port and protection technol-

ogy.

In addition, we have manufac-

turers of fibres, garn, accesso-

ries, scaffolds, frames, welding

machines, paints, varnishes,

films and companies from the

areas weaving mills and coat-

ings belong to the association.

Various working groups in ad-

dition also deal among other

thingswith current topics such

as objections to standardisa-

tion projects, the implementa-

tion of standards, preparation

of guidelines and recommen-

dations, market data.

The areas of education and

further training were out-

sourced in 1997 to the Sup-

port Association KTex e.V. The

professional profile of the as-

sociation comes from the area

technical textile manufacture.

Originally developed as the

training profession tent mak-

er, renamed in 1981 as plastic

and heavy fabric textile manu-

facturer, the current technical

textile manufacturer is a state-

recognised training profession

with a three-year training. Fur-

ther training as industrial mas-

ter textile business, technical

textilemanufacturing speciali-

sation, is possible.

The Support Association stag-

es training courses at irregu-

lar intervals for semi-skilled

and unskilled employees in the

member companies. In this

way technically specialised

training is guaranteed.

What does the future of the

ITRS look like? In our view, very

good! We have committed

members to thank for no hon-

orary office to date remaining

unoccupied.

And when we speak of “honor-

ary offices” in the ITRS, this has

to be taken literally: all those

active in the committees work

at their own or company ex-

pense. Only in this way can the

moderate membership fees,

among other things, be main-

tained.

There is also continuity in the

head office: the managing di-

rector Gertrud Müller and as-

sistant Daniel Klein have been

working for the association for

19 years and have been sup-

ported since autumn 2014 by

Sascha Eickels.
