Monitoring lifts – the easy and intelligent way
Die Lift Technology GmbH entwickelte den
Lift Guardian. Dafür wurde das Unterneh-
men als eines der 25 besten Immobilien-
StartUps weltweit prämiert.
Ein Klick – und schon erscheinen alle Daten
zu den eigenen Aufzuganlagen in Echtzeit
auf dem Bildschirm. Das ist die Idee hinter
dem Lift Guardian. Denn er erfasst Auf-
zugdaten sensorisch und übermittelt sie via
Internet an ein Portal, das der Betreiber der
Anlagen jederzeit online einsehen kann.
Entwickler dieser Innovation des „Industrial
Internet ofThings“ (IIoT) ist die LiftTechno-
logyGmbH.Das Unternehmen ist ein Spin-
off der Hundt Consult GmbH, des deut-
schen Marktführers im Liftmanagement.
Die Idee überzeugt: BeimRE!N-Contest des
Real Estate InnovationNetworks wurde die
Lift Technology GmbH bereits als eines der
25 besten Immobilien-StartUps weltweit
ausgezeichnet.
Wie viele Fahrten hat ein Aufzug seit der
letzten Wartung gemacht? Wie groß sollte
deshalb das Wartungsintervall optima-
lerweise sein? Gibt es eine Störung oder
zeichnet sich eine Störung ab, die zum
Stillstand der Anlage führen könnte? Wo
befindet sich der Fahrkorb gerade? Sind
Personen darin? Diese und viele weitere
Informationen können Kunden der Lift
Technology jederzeit für alle ihre Anlagen
über ein Online-Dashboard einsehen. Das
Prinzip dahinter: Die Aufzuganlage wird
mit Sensoren versehen, die die Bewegungen
des Aufzugs, aber auch viele andere Daten
wie dieTemperatur und die Luftfeuchtigkeit
über das Internet an die Lift Technology
übermitteln. Die Nutzer des Lift Guardians
können sich online in das Systemeinloggen
und dort die Informationen zu ihren Auf-
zuganlagen einsehen oder sich Reportings
erstellen lassen.

vollen Überblick über den Status ihrer
Aufzuganlagen“ erklärt Oliver Hundt, Ge-
schäftsführer der Lift Technology GmbH.
„Damit werden vieleVor-Ort-Termine über-
flüssig. Außerdem können sie Störungen
früher erkennen und damit Stillstandszeiten
und kostspielige Reparaturen vermeiden.“
Einfach und überzeugend
Die Installation des Lift Guardian funktio-
niert, ohne in bestehende Bauteile und Steu-
erungseinheiten einzugreifen. Sie ist auch
bei älteren Anlagen problemlos möglich.
Die Technologie des Lift Guardians über-
zeugte schon die Jury des RE!N-Contests
des Real Estate Innovation Networks
(RE!N). Diese wählte im Juli 2017 die 25
besten Immobilien-StartUps weltweit aus
über 700 Bewerbern. Auch auf der FM-In-
novationsbörse der Zeitschrift „Der Facility
Manager“ gehört der Lift Guardian zu den
zwölf Finalisten. Beimdegewo Innovations-
preis 2017 „Smart Up the City“ konnte sich
der Lift Guardian in einem international
besetzten Teilnehmerfeld durchsetzen und
schaffte es unter die 20 Finalisten.

One click - and all the data about your lifts ap-
pear in real time on your monitor. That is the
idea behind the Lift Guardian. It records the lift
data with its sensors and transmits them via the
Internet to a portal accessible online at all times
to the lift operator. The developer of this“Indus-
trial Internet of Things” (IIoT) is Lift Technology
GmbH, a spin-off of Hundt Consult GmbH, the
German market leader in lift management. The
idea was a winner: at the RE!N contest of the
Real Estate Innovation Network, Lift Technology
GmbH received an award as one of the 25 best
real estate start-ups worldwide.
How many trips has a lift made since it was last
maintained? How long should the maintenance
interval therefore ideally be? Is there a malfunc-
tion or is one evolving that could result in the lift
coming to a standstill? Where exactly is the car
right now? Does it have passengers? This and
much more is what Lift Technology clients can
see at any time via an online dashboard for all
their lifts.The underlying principle is that the lift is
fitted with sensors that transmit themovements
of the lift as well as a lot of other data via the
Internet to Lift Technology, such as temperature
and humidity. Lift Guardian users can log in on-
line into the systemand view the information on
their lifts or have a report drawn up.
“In this way, our clients have complete oversight
of the status of their lifts at all times,” explained
Oliver Hundt, managing director of Lift Tech-
nology GmbH. “This makes many on-site visits
superfluous. In addition, they can detect mal-
functions earlier and as a result avoid downtimes
and expensive repairs.”
Simple and convincing
Lift Guardian is installed without interfering with
existing components and control units. This is
also no problem in older lifts.
The technology of the Lift Guardian convinced
the jury of the RE!N contest of the Real Estate
Innovation Network (RE!N). They chose the 25
best real estate start-ups worldwide in July 2017
fromover 700 competitors. Lift Guardianwas also
one of the twelve finalists in the FM innovation
stock exchange of the magazine “Der Facility
Manager.” In the degewo Innovation Prize 2017
“Smart Up the City”, Lift Guardian also prevailed
in an international field of participants andmade
it into the top 20 finalists.
