Eine typischeAnwendung der
Servomotoren ist der Antrieb
des Warenabzugs von Web-
maschinen. Hier verhindert
ein extremgleichmäßiger Lauf
die Entstehung von Unregel-
mäßigkeiten im Webmuster.

hohen Anforderungen an
Positioniergenauigkeit und
Dynamik punkten die SM-
Motoren.

ing SIL 2 and has been certified
by TÜV-Nord according to DIN
EN ISO 13849-1 with PL e. It has
the three functions “safe torque
off” (STO), “safely limited speed”
(SLS) and “safe limited torque”
(SLT) to monitor the door speed
and –standstill. In this way, it
guarantees safe stopping at a
precise position. Redundant
sensors and controllers provide
for additional safety. Thanks to
its short reaction times, the KFM
Safety is suitable for horizontal
doors on machine tools, pack-
aging machinery and injection
moulding machines as well as
in machining centres and auto-
matic assembly machines.
The servomotors, designed as a
modular system, are based on
segment technology. Conse-
quently, their packing density is
very high and the motors them-
selves are highly compact. This
saves valuable installation space.
Thanks to protection class IP64
and their sturdy design, they are
also suitable for rough environ-
ments. Various brakes, encoders
and connection plugs permit
uncomplicated customisation
of motors. On request, Siei-
Areg will also realise completely
application-specific segment
motor designs.
A typical servomotor applica-
tion is driving fabric take-up in
looms. Extremely even running
prevents irregularities arising in
the woven pattern here. But the
SMmotors are also well-suited to
applications with high demands
on positional accuracy and
dynamism.
