that can save human life and pro-

tect property is frequently under-

estimated. “Incorrectly performed

maintenance by unqualified per-

sonnel can have unforeseeable

insurance-related and economic

consequences for the operator

in the event of damage,” accord-

ing to Kurt Seifert, chairman of

the Board of Directors of the RAL

Quality Association Assembly and

Maintenance of Smoke and Extrac-

tion Systems.
