Weber Tec beschäftigt sich seit über 10
Jahren erfolgreichmit der Reparatur von
Fahrtreppenstufen und Fahrsteigpalet-
ten. Wir machen uns auf den Weg nach
Augsburg, umdem internationalen Fach-
publikum wirtschaftliche und schnelle
Reparaturmöglichkeiten vorzustellen.
Hierzu gehört insbesondere unsere Neu-
entwicklung (Reparatur vor Ort und im
eingebauten Zustand),mit der sich lästige
Transporte und unnötige Stillstandzeiten
vermeiden lassen. Schließlich ist die
hohe Verfügbarkeit und Zuverlässigkeit
dieser Anlagenmitentschei-
dend für die Akzeptanz des
gewählten Transportmedi-
ums.Wir freuen uns auf den

Betreibern und Errichtern.

Escalators are high per-
formance transport so-
lutions for areas with a
high volume of visitors. Hardly
any other automated transport system can
transport people faster from A to B than an
escalator, provided it is not at a standstill.
Weber Tec has been successfully repairing
escalator steps and moving walk pallets
for over ten years. We are going to Augs-
burg to present economic
and fast repair options to the
international trade visitors. In
particular we want to show
off our latest development
(repairing on the spot and in
installed condition), which
eliminates irksome transports
and unnecessary standstills.
After all, the high availability
and reliability of these instal-
lations make a decisive con-
tribution to the acceptance
of the transport medium se-
lected. We look forward to intensive trade
talks with operators and erectors. Weber

The new Lift Directive 2014/33/EU
and the EN 81-20 and EN 81-50
standards are about to come into
force. Across Europe implementation of
the standards has triggered an enormous
bout of innovation in the lift industry. With
more than 530 exhibitors from 41 countries
interlift ’15 provides the best overview of
the current state of implementation and
consequently is the hotspot in 2015 for all
lift industry decision-makers.
As the technical sponsor of the interlift,
the VFA-Interlift e.V. is delighted with the
multitude of new technical components
and system solutions from the interna-
tional lift industry and its suppliers. The
VFA Academy will also be addressing the
tremendous importance of DIN EN 81 and
examining this subject in the VFA-Forum
in Hall 2 in different talks.

Der VDMA hat es sich auf die Fahne
geschrieben, Jugendliche für dieAufzugs-
branche zu interessieren und ihnen die
Faszination, die hinter der
Mobilität durch Aufzüge,
Fahrtreppen und Fahrstei-
ge liegt, zu vermitteln. Die
Interlift bietet hierfür eine
geeignete Plattform. Daher
freuen wir uns besonders
auf die Siegerehrung des
Filmcontest, die am 14. Ok-
tober 2015 auf der Stand-
party desVDMA stattfinden
wird.

Interlift 2015 provides everyone with an
ideal forum to find out about new trends
in the sector and the opportunity to
exchange views with many sector repre-
sentatives and experts. As the German
Engineering Federation (VDMA) Technical
Association Lifts & Escalators we will once
again be attending the big industry event
and expect a fascinating kaleidoscope of
technical innovations, experience reports
and opinions.
Apart from innovative technologies for
energy efficiency and barrier-freedom,
the lift industry provides young people in
particular with an exciting and versatile
workplace. This is precisely what this
year’s new recruit film contest “Fascinat-
ing and versatile. Your way up” stands for.
The VDMA has dedicated itself to getting
young people interested in the lift industry
and conveying to them the fascination to
be found behind the mobility provided by
lifts, escalators and moving walks. The
interlift is a suitable platform for this. This
is why we are particularly looking forward
to the award ceremony of the film contest,
which will take place on 14 October 2015
at the stand party of the VDMA.

Der Europäische Aufzugsverband
hat schon vor der letzten Jahr-
hundertwende an der Interlift
Messe teilgenommen. Diese Ausstellung
betrachten wir als einzigartige Chance,
denn sie offenbart uns, in welchemMaße
zentrale Bereiche unseres
Verbandes gemäß unserer
ELA-Roadmap konkrete
Anwendung finden.
Unter dem Oberbegriff
„nachhaltige Entwicklung“
werden zahlreiche bedeu-
tende Innovationen seitens
der ausstellenden Firmen
in Sektoren präsentiert, die
in direkter Beziehung zur
Arbeit unseres Verbandes
stehen. Im Bemühen, als
Akteur durch Mitglieder,
Behörden und Gesellschaft
wertschätzende Anerkennung zu fin-
den, konzentriert der ELA seine Energie
auf die Optimierung von Aufzügen und
Fahrtreppen in den Punkten Sicherheit,
Energieeffizienz, Umweltbeitrag, Zu-
gänglichkeit, Abstimmung von Normen
und Standards auf globaler Ebene und
branchenrelevante Attraktivität.
ELA wird mit einem Stand auf der Inter-
lift Messe vertreten sein und ist stolz über
einen aktiven Beitrag auf demVFA Inter-
lift Forum, einem Organ für offenen und
professionell-fruchtbaren Austausch.
The European Lift Association has
been participating to the Interlift Fair
since before the turn of the last cen-
tury. We strongly believe that this fair is a
unique opportunity for ELA to see how the
major focus areas of our association – as
defined in the ELA Roadmap
guiding our work – are applied
in the field.
Under the general umbrella
of sustainable development,
many significant innovations
are generally presented by
the exhibiting companies in
areas directly affecting ELA’s
work. In its endeavour to be
recognized by its members,
the authorities and society as
a high added value contribu-
tor, ELA focuses its energies
on improving lifts and escala-
tors as regards safety, energy efficiency and
environmental contributions, accessibility,
the harmonization of norms and standards
on a global level and, last but by no means
least, the attractiveness of the industry.
ELA will be present at the Interlift fair with a
stand and also looks forward to contributing
actively to the VFA Interlift Forum, a mind-
opening and professional cross-fertilisation
experience.

Die neu gebaute Halle 4
bietet 4500 m² modernste,
säulenfreie Ausstellungs-
fläche und verbindet nun
die Hallen 3 und 5. Ebenfalls neu ist die
temporär aufgebaute Messehalle Cube
mit 1 500 m². Für die erneute Erweite-
rung der Ausstellungsfläche und das
große Engagement für dieWeltleitmesse
bedanke ich mich auch im Namen des
VFA-Interlift bei unserem langjährigem
Messe-Partner AFAG Messen und Aus-
stellungen GmbH.
The interlift success story continues.
At the most international of lift trade
fairs over 530 exhibitors (of whom
72% are from abroad) from 41 countries
will be showing off their latest
products and services. We are
expecting over 20,000 trade
visitors from 85 countries at this
year’s record-breaking trade fair.
The exhibition area of the interlift
is likewise growing: the newly
built Hall 4 provides 4,500 m²
of ultra-modern exhibition area,
uncluttered by pillars, and con-
nects Halls 3 and 5. The 1,500
m² temporary Cube exhibition
hall is likewise new. On behalf of
the VFA-Interlift, I would like to
thank our trade fair partner of many years,
the AFAG Messen und Ausstellungen
GmbH, for the renewed expansion of the
exhibition area and its great commitment
to the leading world trade fair.

Every two years the interlift
constitutes a high point
for the national and inter-
national lift family. The German

whom lifts and escalators are not just their
profession, but also a vocation and source

vorzustellen. Die auch un-
ter der Bezeichnung CiA
417 bekannte hersteller-
unabhängige Spezifikati-
on wurde vor zwölf Jahren
erstmals auf der Interlift
2003 präsentiert. Seitdem
nimmt die Zahl der CANopen-Lift-Ge-
räte stetig zu. Pünktlich zur Messe ist das
CANopen-Lift-Video in englischer und
deutscher Sprache fertig geworden. Wir
werden es auf unseremStand vorführen.
Wir erwarten vor allemneue Kunden aus
demnichteuropäischen Ausland, die sich
für einen offenen Standard interessieren.

As far as we are con-
cerned the interlift is still
the most important fair
when it comes to presenting
further developments in the
CANopen lift specification.
The manufacturer-independent
specification, also known as
CiA 417, was first presented
twelve years ago at the 2003
interlift. From now on the num-
ber of CANopen lift devices in-
creases. The CANopen lift video
in English and German will be ready in time
for the fair and we will present it at our
stand. We are in particular expecting new
customers from countries outside Europe,
who are interested in an open standard.
