Der Termin für das nächste E2 Forum in
Frankfurt am Main steht fest: Es ist vom
23. bis 24. September 2020. Neben
Mailand und Frankfurt wird es außerdem
ein drittes E2 Forum geben: Am 2. August
2019 in der indischen Wirtschafts- und
Handelsmetropole Mumbai.
Das E2 Forum Frankfurt wird wie beim er-
sten Mal vom VDMA-Fachverband Aufzüge
und Fahrtreppen und der Messe Frankfurt
ausgerichtet. „Unsere Mitglieder freuen sich auf
die Fortsetzung des E2 Forums in Frankfurt näch-
stes Jahr“, betont der Vorsitzende des Vorstands
des VDMA-Fachverbandes, Albert Schenk: „Ein an
den Zukunftsthemen unserer Branche und der
sich zunehmend digitalisierenden Schnittstellen
zu Gebäudeplanung und -automatisierung orien-
tiertes Format brauchen wir für unsere Weiter­
entwicklung und unser Wachstum.“
Die Erstveranstaltung im September 2018 auf
dem Frankfurter Messegelände war ein echter
Erfolg: „Sie wurde auf Industrie- wie auch auf
Anwenderseite bei Gebäudeplanern, Errichtern
und Betreibern sehr positiv aufgenommen“, be-
richtet Veranstalter Messe Frankfurt.
Der VDMA-Fachverband Aufzüge und Fahrtrep-
pen kooperiert mit der Messe Frankfurt zum E2
Forum Frankfurt seit zwei Jahren und ist für die
Konferenzinhalte verantwortlich. Sie umfassen
zum Beispiel die Themen:
• Building Information Modeling (BIM),
• der Aufzug in der Gebäudeplanung,

2020. Apart from Milan and Frankfurt,
there will in addition be a third E2 Forum:
on 2 August 2019 in the Indian business
and trading metropolis Mumbai.
T he E2 Forum Frankfurt will be organised
by the VDMA Trade Association Lifts and
Escalators and the Messe Frankfurt as
on the first occasion. “Our members are looking
forward to the continuation of the E2 Forum in
Frankfurt next year,” emphasised the chairman
of the board of directors of the VDMA Trade As-
sociation, Albert Schenk. “In order to continue to
develop and grow, we need a format oriented to
the future topics of our sector and the increasin-
gly digitalised interfaces with building planning
and automation.”
From the point of view of the Messe Frankfurt
organisation, the first event in September 2018 on
the Frankfurt fairgrounds was a real success, “It
enjoyed a very positive response from industry –
both on the user side as well as among building
planners, erectors and operators.”
The VDMA Trade Association Lifts and Escala-
tors has been cooperating with Messe Frankfurt
regarding the E2 Forum Frankfurt for two years
and is responsible for the conference contents.
They include, for example, the topics:
• Building Information Modelling (BIM),
• the lift in building planning,
• rules and regulations when planning lifts,
• factors influenced by fire protection concepts,
• digitalisation concepts and IoT applications in
buildings,
• energy and cost-efficiency requirements,
• maintenance concepts,
• interfaces with building codes and
• standards and operator obligations for the lift
as work equipment.
The exhibitors include the leading manufacturers
of lifts, escalators and corresponding compon-
ents. The E2 Forum Frankfurt is intended to be an
innovation forum every two years for forward-
looking topics in the planning and operation of
elevators and escalators.
In future, the E2 Forum format will not just
take place in Italy and Germany, but also on the
Indian sub-continent. A second event will be
launched for the growing Indian market in the
form of the E2 Forum Mumbai on 2 August 2019.
In this way, Messe Frankfurt wants to provide
building planners and operators with an event
in the years between the big trade fair IEE Expo,
which opens its doors every two years – likewise
in Mumbai. ⇤

Aufzügen,
• Einflussfaktoren durch Brandschutzkonzepte,
• Digitalisierungskonzepte und IoT-Anwendungen
im Gebäude,
• Anforderungen an die Energie- und
Kosteneffizienz,
• Instandhaltungskonzepte,
• Schnittstellen zur Bauordnung sowie
• Normen und Betreiberverpflichtungen für
den Aufzug als Arbeitsmittel.
Zu den Ausstellern gehören die führenden Her-
steller von Aufzügen, Fahrtreppen und entspre-
chenden Komponenten. Das E2 Forum Frankfurt
soll ein Innovationsforum im Zwei-Jahres-
Rhythmus für die Zukunftsthemen in Planung
und Betrieb Aufzügen, Fahrtreppen und Fahr-
steigen sein.
E2-VERANSTALTUNGSPRÄSENZ AUCH
IN DEN ZWISCHENJAHREN
Das Format E2 Forum gibt es künftig nicht nur in
Italien und Deutschland, sondern auch auf dem
indischen Subkontinent. Für den Wachstumsmarkt
Indien startet mit dem E2 ForumMumbai am 2. Au-
gust 2019 eine zweite Veranstaltung. So will die
Messe Frankfurt Gebäudeplanern und -betreibern
den Zugang zu aktuellen Know-how und neuesten
Technologien, Lösungen und Anwendungen mo-
derner Aufzugs- und Fahrtreppentechnologien für
die Wachstumsregionen Indiens und Südasiens in
den Jahren zwischen der großen Fachmesse IEE Ex-
po bieten, die alle zwei Jahre ihre Tore öffnet. ⇤
