coating technologies for op-

The highly weather-resistant
heroal hwr powder coating
provides long term protection
against corrosion for the ex-
truded systems. It is available
in all RAL colours and various
gloss degrees. The product
range of surface finishing is
rounded off by film wrapping
and anodic coating.

Das besonders eng wickeln-
de Rolltorsystem heroal RD 55
besteht aus Stäben mit einer
Ansichtsbreite von 55 mm. Mit
diesen schlanken Stäben kön-
nen Elementbreiten bis 3500
mm und Panzerhöhe bis zu
3000 mm realisiert werden.
Der Sturzbedarf beträgt bei
dieser Höhe maximal 265 mm.
Insgesamt können Kasten-
größen ab 230 mm realisiert
werden.
Rolltorsystem heroal RD 75
Durch die vielfältigen Aus-
stattungsoptionen und die
Prüfung nach der TTZ Richtli-
nie Einbruchhemmung für Ga-
ragentore ist dieses Rolltorsys-
tem bestens für den privaten
und gewerblichen Einsatz ge-
eignet. Ein weiterer Vorteil ist
die Möglichkeit der nachträgli-
chen Kastenmontage: So wird
aus einer offenen schnell und
wirtschaftlich eine geschlosse-
ne Montage. Elementbreiten bis
zu 6000 mm und Höhen bis zu
5000 mm sind umsetzbar.
Deckentor heroal OD 75
Die Realisierung von heroal
Deckentoren ist mittels Sei-
tenantrieb oder Mittelantrieb
möglich. Bei kleineren Garagen
reichen 65 mm Sturzhöhe aus,
um die platzsparende Antriebs-
technik an der Führungsschiene
unter der Decke zu installieren.
Großformatige Deckentore bis
zu 4000 x 4000 mm werden mit
einem Mittelantrieb ausgestat-
tet und haben eine Sturzhöhe
von nur 135 mm.
Rollgitter heroal RG 90
Das Rollgittersystem heroal RG
90 eignet sich optimal für Tief-
garagen. Der Behang besteht
aus vollständig stranggepress-
ten, äußerst stabilen Profilen,
welche optimale Luftzirkulation
zulassen. Durch die geschlosse-
ne Montage im Blendenkasten
können die Rolltore elegant an
die bestehende Architektur an-

The especially tight-winding rol­
ler door system heroal RD 55 con­
sists of slats with a view width
of 55 mm. Elements widths up
to 3500 mm and curtain heights
up to 3000 mm can be realised
with these slender slats. The lintel
requirement at this height is a
maximum of 265 mm. As a who­
le, box sizes from 230 mm can be
realised.

try guideline for burglary pre-
vention for garage doors.

ber of break-ins,” explained
Konrad Kaiser, heroal’s man-
aging director. The roller door
system heroal RD 75 provides
the solution: a special anti-
push up device and locking
feature ensure improved bur-
glary protection.

During violent entry through
doors and in garages the cur-
tain is often forced upwards
or the door is pressed out of
the guide rail with a lever.
Thanks to heroal’s anti-push
up device and an additional
stay bar locking feature, the
heroal RD 75 roller door sys-
tem impedes these kinds of
break-ins. By means of these
additional safeguards, the
roller door is strong enough
with a clearance width of
4800 mm to achieve class
4 wind load resistance. This
safeguard feature is similar
in design to the heroal RG 90
roller grille, which is already
endowed with enhanced se-
curity. The anti-push up de-
vice can also be used with the
emergency hand crank ‘Kom-
fort’ (NHK Komfort).
Undamaged despite
hail impact
The Institut für Brands-
chutzsicherheit und Sicher-
heitsforschung Ges.m.b.H
(IBS) tested the hail resist-
ance classes of the heroal
roller shutter and roller door
systems and accorded the
systems tested hail resistance
classes (HW) between 3 and
7. During the so-called hail
resistance test standardised
ice pellets are pneumatically
accelerated by a hail simula-
tion machine and “fired” at
the test objects. The speeds
correspond to the natural fall-
ing speed of hailstones. Tests
are carried out from class HW
1 with an ice pellet with a di-
ameter of 10 mm to class HW
7 with an ice pellet diameter
of 70 mm and a maximum
impact speed of 140 km/h.

In the heroal RD 75 roller door
system both the blind as well
as the guide rail were tested.
During the bombardment
with a 156 g 70 mm ice pel-
let the guide rail attained the
hail resistance class 7. The
blind was bombarded with
a 60 mm 98 g ice pellet at a
speed of 121 km/h and was
classified hail resistance class
HW 6.
Normally high material dam-
age is caused under these
conditions, but in the heroal
system the function of the
blind and guide rail remained
undamaged.
