heroal VS Z – the new
zip screen
The highly versatile heroal VS
Z can be produced from fab-
ric ranging from transparent
to opaque and reflects a large
proportion of insolation – de-
pending on the type of fabric,
up to 75 per cent of insolation
can be blocked. This also re-
sults in cutting the costs for
air conditioning and reducing
UV radiation by up to 98 per
cent. Consequently, a pleas-
ant room climate is guaran-
teed on hot days and simulta-
neously optimal glare, privacy
and heat protection created
without too much light be-
ing lost at the same time. This
system is external sun protec-
tion and only installed with
motors. Thanks to its design,
the heroal VS Z system can
also be used in small windows
– and without losing active
window surface area. Addi-
tional advantages are the easy
assembly, long service life and
space-saving small boxes.
For example, given a window
height of 3 m, a box system
only 95 mm high is required.
The rising demands on exter-
nal sun protection have been
met with heroal VS Z: high
wind load resistance up to 145
km/h, shading of large glass
surfaces and versatile colour
design. Use of elements up to
6 m wide and 15 m
2
in size is
possible.

heroal rs hybrid combines the
system advantages of roller
shutters and sun protection.
On the one hand, even dur-
ing partial shading it provides
the glare freedom of a high
quality textile sun protection
system and on the other the
weather resistance and se-
curity of an aluminium roller
shutter. The water and dirt-
repellent textile fabric on the
inside creates a cosy appear-
ance and facilitates easy care,
as a result of which the sys-
tem is especially durable. In
addition, the heroal rs hybrid
has a very small coil diame-
ter and is almost noiseless in
operation, meaning it can be
easily integrated into almost
any installation situation.
Due to its insulating proper-
ties, unpleasant noises from
outside – such as from traffic
or the wind – are effectively
kept out. Combined with the
thermally insulated heroal
window and façade systems,
the heat loss of the windows
can be reduced by up to 44 per
cent by the heroal rs hybrid –
saving energy and as a result
operating costs.
