Featuring extensive actions
and special events, the world’s
leading trade fair will be held
for the first time at the New
Stuttgart Trade Fair Centre
from 10 to 14 February 2009.
Just under 800 exhibitors from
40 countries will present their
products, services and techni-
cal innovations on five succes-
sive days. The Innovation Prize
will be presented on 10 Febru-
ary 2009, the first day of the
trade fair. This renowned Prize
will be awarded to the eleven
best new developments in the
industry.

The professional and promo-
tional supporters of R+T 2009,
i.e. the Federal Association for
Manufacturers of Roller Shut-
ters and Sun Protection and
the National Federation of
Door and Gate Manufactur-
ers (BVT), will take part in the
Marketplace of Associations
along with the Association of
German Textile Manufacturers
and other organisations. Dur-
ing this event, exhibitors will
have an opportunity to take
action against counterfeit
um Plagiatsschutz
Aisle to protection against
products with the assistance
of a patent lawyer. Valuable
information will also be pro-
vided on the energy-saving
potential of sun protection
systems. The individual as-
sociations will round off their
services with different special
events.
b2fair, special show with
young talents, industry
meeting
Young talents from roller
shutter and sun protection
craft trades will present their
apprenticeship and master
craftsman’s pieces of work
during a special show. An-
other highlight, which is being
organised by Handwerk Inter-
national Baden-Württemberg
e.V., will be the b2fair coop-
eration bourse: this event will
make it easier for exhibitors
and visitors to contact new
customers, business partners
and suppliers from Germany
and throughout the world.
The National Federation of
Door and Gate Manufacturers
is staging an industry meeting
for the first time as well as a
Door/Gate Forum relating to
trends and standards on three
days of the trade fair. Together
with the European Solar Shad-
ing Organization (ESSO), the
Association of German Textile
Manufacturers is organising
a workshop with energy ef-
ficiency as the main topic on
12 February 2009.
Extend worldwide networks, promote new technologies, exchange industry
information: these are the objectives of R+T, International Trade Fair for Roller
Shutters, Doors/Gates and Sun Protection, which takes place every three years.
