Not just in the field of privacy

and sun protection, but also

in the entire field of ambitious

window decoration, energy

efficiency and environmen-

tal protection will become a

decisive purchasing factor. If

one bears in mind that 46%

of the energy worldwide is

consumed in the use of build-

ings and 75% of the entire

energy requirements of pri-

vate households is used for a

pleasant interior climate, one

can see what importance and

potential Duette holds. Du-

ette has been tested in exten-

sive studies of the Fraunhofer

Institute IBP. It provided con-

vincing results, both in energy

efficiency and energy saving

as well as in noise insulation.

Duette: threefold

effectiveness

Thanks to its unique climatic

zone with its own air buffer,

Duette achieves the best re-

sults both in summer and win-

ter. In summer Duette reduces

heat uptake at the window by

up to 78%. The heat remains

outside and energy-intensive

air conditioning or electricity-

hungry fans can for the most

part be dispensed with.

The current study of the Fraun-

hofer Institute for Building

Physics awarded Duette top

marks for its effect in winter.

Energy losses at the window

can be reducedby up to 49% in

residential property. This cor-

responds to a saving of about

12% in heating energy. In of-

fices/administrative buildings

under particular usage condi-

tions a saving of up to 34.7%

can even be achieved. These

are outstanding results and

convincing arguments in the

face of the constantly increas-

ing energy costs, unbeatable

when providing advice.

Duette also achieved excellent

results in sound insulation,

especially when there was

a lot of glass, ceramics and

concrete in the room. Accord-

ing to the Fraunhofer Institute

IBP, in many cases echoes and

as a result speech intelligibil-

ity can only be raised to the

optimal range by extensive

use of Duette. This is far more

than every other sun protec-

tion system can achieve.
