The new door control mecha-

nism TST FUF with integrated

frequency converter from FEIG

Electronic has a mass of use-

ful innovations. The control

mechanism will be unveiled at

the R+T 2012 in Stuttgart.

Sturdy plastic housing in IP65

The TST FUF is integrated in a

light plastic housing with the

high IP65 protection stand-

ard.

Fully integrated, safe to touch

heat sink, main switch with

emergencystop function, clear

text display and threefold key-

board comprise together with

the tried and tested frequency

converter technology the op-

erating centre for controlling

your door system.

Despite the compact design

of the housing, the user has

lots of space to carry out wir-

ing easily and conveniently.

This is even true when using

the optional intelligent expan-

sion boards. Thanks to these,

it is child’s play to supplement

the system with traffic light

drives, induction loop evalua-

tors, real time timer switches

and various bus interfaces for

remote diagnosis and control

(plug & play). All units can be

conveniently operated via the

central and always integrated

user interface.

Very straightforward wiring

thanks to colour-coded plugs

and clamps

The wiring is child’s play. All

plug-in clamps have different

colours – as a result, the error

risk of incorrect wiring is re-

duced to almost zero. Thanks

to the patented cable inser-

tion system of FEIG Electronic,

even complex, ready-made

cables can be inserted in the

housing in compliance with

the protection standard.

Easy-change frame for simple

replacement of controls

Door control systems are be-

coming increasingly intelligent

in part as a result of the multi-

tude of safety tasks – but as a

result more complex. But who

thinks about the maintenance

of such systems?

In order to carry out the re-

placement of a control sys-

tem, in the past the complete

control had to be detached

from the wall. For this it was

necessary to remove the wir-

ing completely – for the most

part even from the clamps. It

was necessary to label the in-

dividual wires. Next the wires

had to be guided through the

threaded cable connections

without losing them again.

With FEIG Electronic’s easy-

change frame this is now a

thing of the past. Here if the

control unit has to be replaced,

all of the electronics can be

removed and the housing to-

gether with all connecting ca-

bles remains on the wall.

The wiring is first released by

pulling out the coloured plugs.

Then the entire electronics are

removed from the housing in

two steps. If a replacement

control is available, it can be

immediately installed in the

same manner. If not, the wir-

ing remains protected inside

the housing and the defective

electronics are sent in for re-

pair. What previously involved

hours of effort has been re-

duced to a few minutes.

Intelligent door management

With the TST FUF and intel-

ligent plug-in or easy-change

frame system, the company

has provided another building

block for intelligent manage-

ment of complete door sys-

tems.

These include more door con-

trols with frequency convert-

ers or reversing contactors,

various pulse generators for

opening doors (induction loop

detectors, movement sensors,

RFID and wireless) and the

wireless safety systemWiCAB.
