Stuttgart Fair protects patents
Erstmals gibt es auf der Stutt-
garter Messe einen eigenen
Patentschutzstand, auf dem
während der gesamten R+T
ein Patentanwalt als ständiger
Ansprechpartner für alleFragen
rund um den Schutz von Pa-
tenten zur Verfügung steht.
Für die Messe Stuttgart ist dies
Teil eines Maßnahmenpaketes
imKampf gegenProduktpirate-
rie,welchesMitte letzten Jahres
von den Messegesellschaften
Baden-Württembergs beschlos-
sen worden ist.
Schätzungen gehen davon aus,
dass der weltweite wirtschaft-
liche Schaden jährlich 200 bis
300Milliarden
€
beträgt.
Wie Geschäftsführer Kromer
von Baerle erklärte, ist die Di-
mensiondes Problems Produkt-
piraterie „Grund genug für die
Messe Stuttgart, das Thema auf
der R+T 2009 offensiv anzuge-
henunderstmalseineneigenen
Beratungsstand anzubieten.“
Dieser Service soll auch kleine
und mittlere Aussteller, die mit
der Rechtslage nicht immer
vertraut sind,indie Lage verset-
zen gegen Diebstahl geistigen
Eigentums vorzugehen und
Kontakt mit den wichtigsten
behördlichen Vertretern auf-
nehmen zu können.
Der Patentschutzstandbefindet
sich in Halle 1 im „Marktplatz
der Verbände“ und ist vom 10.-
14. Februar ganztägig besetzt.

14. Februar trifft sich die Bran-
che in Stuttgart zu einer unver-
gleichlichen Leistungsschau.
Auf 105.200m

als 800 Aussteller aus über 40
Ländern ihre Neuheiten und
ladenzumMeinungsaustausch
ein. Die Zahl der Aussteller ist
damit gegenüber der letzten
R+T aus dem Jahr 2006 um
fast 50 Prozent gestiegen, als
545 Aussteller teilgenommen
hatten. Obwohl dies die erste
R+T auf dem neuen Messege-
lände ist, ist auch sie bereits
ausgebucht!
Undauchdie Zahl der zuerwar-
tenden Fachbesucher dürfte
weit über den 54.117 von 2006
liegen. DieMesse Stuttgart und
der Bundesverband Rollladen
+ Sonnenschutz e.V. sowie der
BVT – Verband Tore als ideelle
und fachliche Träger freuen
sich über das starke Interesse
und erwarten eine spannende
Messe mit interessanten Auf-
tritten.

At last the time has come: the
world’s biggest trade fair for
roller blinds, doors and so-
lar protection has opened its
doors. From 10 to 14 February
the industry will get together in
Stuttgart for an incomparable
exhibition. Over 8,000 exhibi-
tors from over 40 countries are
displaying their latest products
on 105,200m² and inviting you
to an exchange of opinions.
Compared to the last R+T in
2006, when 545 exhibitors
took part, the number of ex-
hibitors has thereby grown by
almost 50 percent. Although
this is the first R+T on the new
fair grounds, it is already fully
booked!
The number of trade visitors to
be expected will probably be
much higher than the 54,117
in 2006 as well. The Messe
Stuttgart (Stuttgart Fair) and
Bundesverband Rollladen +
Sonnenschutz e.V. (Federal
Association Roller Blinds and
Solar Protection) and BVT –
Verband Tore (National Asso-
ciation of Door Manufacturers
and Suppliers) as the overall
and specialist sponsors are
delighted at the lively interest
and expect a fascinating fair
with many interesting presen-
tations.

Exhibitors increase by almost 50 percent / new
fair fully booked
For the first time Stuttgart Fair
will have a patent stand of its
own, at which a patents lawyer
will be available as constant
contact for all questions relating
to the protection of patents dur-
ing the entire R+T.
For the Stuttgart Fair this is part
of a package of measures in the
fight against product piracy, de-
cided by Baden-Württemberg’s
fair companies halfway through
last year. Estimates assume that
the worldwide economic dam-
age amounts annually to 200 to
300 billion euros.
As managing director Kromer
von Baerle explained, the di-
mensions of the product piracy
problem are “Reason enough
for the Stuttgart Fair to tackle
the subject head-on at the R+T
and for the first time to provide
an advice stand of its own.”
This is also intended to put
small and medium-sized ex-
hibitors, which are not always
familiar with the legal position,
in a position to act against the
theft of intellectual property and
to contact the most important
official representatives.
The patent protection stand is
in Hall 1 in the “Market place of
the Associations” and is occu-
pied all-day from 10 – 14 Feb-
ruary.
