Association to Promote Production of Technical Textiles Zum siebten Mal sind wir dabei. Für die Hersteller und Konfekti- onäre von Sonnenschutz und Beschattung sowie deren Steuerung ist die R+T die wichtigste Messe, und somit auch für den ITRS. Waren wir in 2000 erstmalig mit einer „Standardausrüstung“ auf kleinem Raum vertreten, hat sich heute die Standfläche erheblich vergrößert. Auch die Gestaltung des ITRS-Standes durch ein Mit- gliedsunternehmen fällt ins Auge. Bedruckte Textilwände mit Fo- tos der acht Fachgruppen, kurze Beschreibungen deren Schwer- punkte – kurz, aber prägnant. Seit dem Jahr 2000 nimmt der ITRS an der R+T teil. Heute ist der ITRS ideeller Träger der R+T und Mitglied im Beirat. Hier werden nicht nur die Interessen der Unternehmen vertreten. Wichtig ist dabei auch, dieAktivitäten derVerantwortlichen der Messe tatkräf- tig zu unterstützen. Für den ITRS war es immer ein Anliegen, die R+T auch den Mitgliedern aus den Bereichen der Textilen Flächen und dem Digitaldruck nahe zu bringen. Dies ist in derVergangen- heit erfolgreich gelungen. Der ITRS vertritt insgesamt etwa 160 Unternehmen in acht Fach- gruppen: Bautechnik, Digitale Druck- und textile Werbetechnik, Rollladen-Sonnenschutz-Automation (außen/innen), Säcke und Juteerzeugnisse, Textile Flächen, Transport- und Schutztechnik und seit 2016 auch Zeltvermietung. Über 90 Prozent der Unter- nehmen sind im Familienbesitz und produzieren in Deutschland. Den ITRS zeichnet aus, dass fast die Hälfte der Firmen auf eine lange Tradition und auch auf eine langjährige Mitgliedschaft, das bedeutet über zwei oder drei Generationen, zurückblicken kön- nen. Sechs Unternehmen sind bereits seit der Gründung 1935 da- bei. Alle Unternehmen des ITRS investieren in die Entwicklung inno- vativer und sicherer Produkte. Auch eine erstklassige Information der Kunden besitzt höchste Priorität. Dies gewährleisten qualifi- zierte Mitarbeiter. Die Ausbildung von Fachkräften sowie die stän- digeWeiterbildung der Mitarbeiter hat einen hohen Stellenwert. www.itrs-ev.com Die qualifizierte Ausbildung derTechnischen Konfektionäre (m/w) gewährleistet der 1997 gegründete „Verein zur Förderung der Konfektion technischer Textilien e.V.“, kurz Förderverein KTex ge- nannt. Die vom KTex initiierte länderübergreifende Fachklasse in Köln vermittelt nicht nur dieTheorie. Durch Sachspenden der Un- ternehmen und der finanziellen Zuwendung des Fördervereins ist auch eine praxisnahe Ausbildung garantiert. Der junge und innovativeVorstand, bestehend aus drei Personen, richtete denVerein im November letzten Jahres neu aus – mit gro- ßem Erfolg. 14 neue Mitglieder sind das Ergebnis in nur drei Mo- naten. www.foerderverein-ktex.com This is the seventh time we have attended this trade fair. The R+T is the most important such meeting for manufacturers and tech- nical producers of sun protection and shading as well as their con- trols and as a result for the ITRS also. Whereas we were represent- ed in 2000 for the first time with “standard equipment” in a small room, the stand area has now increased considerably. The design of the ITRS stand by a member company is also striking. Printed textile walls with photos of the eight trade groups, short descriptions and their main focus – short, but to the point. ITRS has been taking part in the R+T since 2000.Today the ITRS is the conceptual sponsor of the R+T and a member of the advisory board. Not only the interests of companies are represented here. What is also important is providing energetic support for the activities of those responsible for the trade fair. Making the R+T accessible to members from the textile fabric and digital printing sectors too has always been an aim of the ITRS. It has also succeeded in doing so in the past. The ITRS represents a total of 160 companies in eight trade groups: construction technology, digital printing and textile advertising technology, roller shutters-sun protection (external/internal) -auto- mation, sacks and jute products, textile fabrics, transport and pro- tective technology and since 2016 tent leasing as well. Over 90 per- cent of the companies are family-owned and produce in Germany. What distinguishes the ITRS is that almost half of the companies can look back on a long tradition and also on long-standing mem- bership, that is to say, more than two or three generations. Six com- panies have been members since the establishment in 1935. All of the companies of the ITRS invest in developing innovative, safe products. First-class information for customers has a high priority too. This is guaranteed by qualified staff. Great store is set by the training of experts and continuous further education of staff. www.itrs-ev.com The Association to Promote Production of Technical Textiles (KTex) has been guaranteeing the qualified training of technicians in tech- nical textile manufacturing since 1997. The national trade class in Cologne initiated by KTex does not just communicate theory. Practi- cal training is also guaranteed by material donations of companies and the financial support of the sponsor association. The young and innovative board of directors, consisting of three peo- ple, reorganised the association in November last year – with great success.
