Konjunkturunabhängig brauchen die Unternehmen des metallbe- und -verarbeitenden Handwerks langfristig kalkulierbare, güns- tige Rahmenbedingungen. Wichtig ist daher, politisch Flagge zu zeigen und den Dialog mit den Repräsentanten der in Land- und Bundestag vertretenen Parteien sowie den Mandatsträgern der Regierungen zu führen. Mit dem Ziel, kleineren und mittleren Be- trieben Planen und Alltagsgeschäft zu erleichtern. Neben diesen Aufgaben in unserer Eigenschaft als Wirtschaftsor- ganisation sorgen wir vom UVM (Unternehmerverband Metall) aber auch für soziale Ausgeglichenheit durch eigene Tarifverträge. Weiterer Schwerpunkt unserer zahlreichen Aktivitäten sind tech- nische und betriebswirtschaftliche Hilfestellungen in Form von in- tensiver Fachgruppenarbeit bis hin zur individuellen Beratung vor Ort. Dadurch ist gewährleistet, dass der UVM stets den Daumen am Puls der Betriebe hat, und seine Prioritäten entsprechend zeit- nah gewichten kann. Drängende Zukunftsfragen, wie z.B. Unternehmensfinanzierung, Energieversorgung, Ökologie, neue Technologien oder der dro- hende Fachkräftemangel, gelangen so auf den Radarschirm. Und vor allen Dingen treibt uns das Thema Bildung um, denn quali- fizierter Nachwuchs und ausbildungsfähige Schulabgänger sind von essentieller Bedeutung für die Wettbewerbsfähigkeit unserer Mitgliedsbetriebe. Consequently, it is very important to be active politically and engage in dialogue with the representatives of the parties represented in the state and federal legislatures, as well as the office holders of the governments.The goal here always being to simplify planning and everyday business for small and medium- sized companies. Apart from these tasks, we also ensure social balance through our own collective bargaining agreements in our capacity as the busi- ness organisation of the Metalworking Trade Association (UVM). This guarantees that the UVM is always in close touch with companies and can assign its priorities correspondingly fast. Um die beson- dere Qualität der Produkte der Mitglieder zu unterstreichen, wur- de das BAS.T-Qualitätssiegel entwickelt. Ziel ist es, mit derVergabe des BAS.T-Qualitätssiegels größtmögliche Sicherheit für Fachhänd- ler und Endverbraucher zu geben und gleichzeitig alle gesetzlichen und normativenAnforderungen nicht nur zu erfüllen, sondern auch weitere Produkteigenschaften zu bieten, die über die üblichen Stan- dards hinausgehen. The aim of awarding the BAS.T quality seal is to pro- vide specialist dealers and consumers with maximum certainty and at the same not just to meet all legal and regulatory require- ments, but offer additional properties in addition that exceed the normal standards.The BAS.T quality seal is ground-breaking and will be found everywhere on garages, swing gate-, sliding gate - and in- dustrial gate drives, controls, booms and security installations that meet these requirements in full. Gate-drive combinations will be evaluated and tested by a neutral examining body in the BAS.T test centre. This will ensure the high safety requirements of European gate standards are consistently met. Consequently, the combinations checked in the test centre will mean customers can be sure they are using a safe gate-drive combi- nation. Leading manufacturers of gate drives, radio systems, safety installations and gate controls belong to the National Association of Drive and Control Technology. Gates.
