The 14th World Elevator & Escalator Expo in Shang- hai will open its doors from 6 to 9 May. According to the organiser, the last WEE 2018 attracted about 121,000 trade visitors from around world. T he trade fair is sponsored by the China Elevator Association and organised by Langfang Conference & Exhibition Co. Ltd. Two years ago, the exhibition area amounted to 135,000 m 2 , according to the organiser, and over 1,300 companies presented their products, with international visitors from 20 countries. The WEE 2020 will once again take place in the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai) with over 400 international exhibitors expected. This time, there should be a special focus among other things on environmentally- friendly and energy-saving technologies and materials. JOINT GERMAN STAND The VFA-Interlift will once again be represented by a joint stand in Shanghai. Member companies can present their products and services beneath the roof of the German Lift Pavilion and will receive organisational support from the association, which will act as the central contact during and after the trade fair (read more about this on page 44). “It’s worth making the trip, for example, to get to know the products from the Asian lift market better,” emphasised VFA department head Nicole Heine, who is responsible for organising the German joint stand, “This trade fair with the biggest exhibition area in the lift industry is the ideal platform for networking and new contacts.” Two years ago, several VFA member companies were represented under the roof of the German Lift Pavilion at the WEE. Those who would like to be there this year should contact Nicole Heine as quickly as possible (nicole.heine@vfa-interlift.de) .
